It's Wednesday!

After a lovely and LONG day at museums yesterday with my sister and a friend's kid, I needed sleep. I only got a 3 hour nap between Monday & Tuesday, so it makes sense? :) The bit of sewing I got done today says I sew better with no sleep than tons of sleep...

My Sugar Pop strips have finally met their demise...erm, design! :D I decided to go with a block design rather than just sewn strips. It's not really adding much time to my sewing to recut & sew, and I really like the first 3 blocks finished! To make this bed sized though, I'm going to have to attack my FQs too. I know there are ways to add to a layer cake to make a full sized quilt, but I kinda like the crazy I have going. Might be a plan for my Chrysalis layer cake & jelly roll though! (need to make a plan for that eventually)

Apologies for the crappy lighting+cell phone pics...my sister took the camera I planned on using today home with her yesterday...

Teal with pink block...this is the one I had the kerfuffle with earlier :)

Orange with pink...this is the first block, so I had to experiment with colors I love!

Brown+green block...this one has the most blendiness going on, partially because some of the prints are so large, they don't cut well into little pieces. Still a pretty block, and will probably blend in with the others well.

No pics of the other two projects yet. Going over to my sister's tonight, so might get to lay out  the HST madness. With 63 blocks, I made a layout that uses 61. Lots of futzing to be had tonight!
